– PGA TOUR Golf Store Associate
Our History
The origins of the PGA TOUR Golf Store legacy trace back to the late 1960s in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where the iconic Martin’s Golf & Tennis Superstore operated for more than 40 years. As the nation’s first off-course specialty golf and tennis retailer, Martin’s quickly became a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Myrtle Beach to play golf.
In 2004, Golf & Tennis Pro Shop acquired Martin’s and rebranded it as PGA TOUR Golf Store, becoming the PGA TOUR’s exclusive partner for off-course and off-airport golf retailing. Together, they shared a vision: to establish PGA TOUR Golf Stores across the country.
A new chapter began in 2010, when retail visionary and co-founder of The Home Depot, Arthur M. Blank, acquired the company as part of his AMB Sports & Entertainment organization — home to the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United FC, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and more. Under his leadership, PGA TOUR Golf Store embarked on an ambitious growth journey, evolving from the first off-course specialty golf retailer to one of the most recognized and trusted names in the industry.
Today, our footprint spans more than half the states in the U.S., supported by a dynamic e-commerce platform that serves customers worldwide. And the story is far from over — with each new store opening, we reaffirm our commitment to growing the game and inspiring players everywhere.
Our Vision
To be the premier golf retailer in the world, focused on growing the game and inspiring people to play their best.
Community Relations
We believe that the success of our business is deeply connected to the well-being of the communities we serve. That’s why we are committed to giving back — through our time, talents, hard work, and financial support.
Every day, our Associates are inspired to take part in initiatives that create meaningful, lasting contributions to the neighborhoods and communities where we live and operate.
Community Caddies
Even the smallest acts of service can create a meaningful impact for individuals and organizations in need.
Without volunteers, many of the programs, services, and events that our Associates and communities value might never come to life. Whether it’s lending a hand at local shelters, supporting food banks, or caring for parks and recreational spaces, every effort helps strengthen the organizations we serve — and the lives they touch.
First Tee
For more than a decade, PGA TOUR Golf Store - PGA TOUR Superstore and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation have proudly supported First Tee’s mission through charitable contributions and in-kind donations across the nation. From reaching approximately 260,000 students in PGA TOUR Golf Store markets in 2011 to inspiring nearly three million young people today, our commitment has only grown stronger.
In partnership with First Tee, we host 40 teens each year at West Creek Ranch in Montana — an intimate setting for leadership development, community building, and personal growth, owned by PGA TOUR Golf Store chairman and First Tee board member, Arthur M. Blank. Over the course of two week-long Summits, participants explore their leadership potential, discover their core values, and connect with peers through guest speaker sessions, hands-on training, and outdoor activities.
We also collaborate with First Tee to host our Leadership Academy, featuring workshops on building authentic relationships, fostering a winning culture, and unlocking personal potential. The Academy takes place at iconic venues across Atlanta, including the Atlanta Falcons Flowery Branch, Atlanta United Training Ground, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Georgia Institute of Technology, Bobby Jones Golf Club, and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.
Community Grants
Giving Back to Others is not just one of our core values — it’s a guiding principle that shapes the meaningful relationships we build with the people and communities we serve. Recognizing that our company’s growth is deeply connected to these local relationships, we once again activated our Community Fund Grant Program this year. Through this initiative, both our store teams and Store Support Center Associates are empowered to actively engage with nonprofit organizations in the communities where PGA TOUR Golf Store operate.
From women’s and children’s support programs to organizations serving military veterans and their families, individuals with disabilities, athletic programs, first responders, disaster relief efforts, and animal rescue groups — the diversity of the organizations we support reflects the broad and lasting impact we strive to make in our communities.
These grants are in addition to our ongoing annual charitable contributions to First Tee, reinforcing our long-term commitment to making a difference on and off the course.
Veterans Golf Association (VGA)
Recently, we partnered with the Veterans Golf Association to support their mission and expand their membership outreach. What began as an idea among wounded veterans at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C., has grown into a nationwide organization headquartered in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The VGA is dedicated to enriching the lives of veterans and their families through the camaraderie, sportsmanship, and joy of golf. Each year, the VGA hosts more than 1,300 local tournaments across the country, fostering connection and community through the game.
Play Yellow
Last year, PGA TOUR Golf Store joined forces with Play Yellow — a nonprofit initiative founded by Jack and Barbara Nicklaus — to raise $100,000 in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. These funds helped impact 35 hospitals across the country, bringing hope, care, and critical resources to children and families in need.
Core Values
Our ability to create lasting value — for our business, our customers, our associates, and the communities we serve — is built on the foundation of our core values. More important than financial success is how we achieve it: by living our values every day and letting them guide our decisions.
We believe the well-being of our business is inseparable from the well-being of society. That’s why we are committed to giving back — through our time, talents, hard work, and financial contributions.

Give Back to Others
"A company can touch customers’ hearts, minds, and spirits with great service and, in the process, give associates the feeling that there’s a purpose to what they’re doing. They’re not just engaging in a transaction; they are building a relationship."
