The G440 driver family (MAX, LST, SFT) is optimized to deliver more ball speed through multiple advancements, including PING’s deepest CG in a driver to date and a shallower, thinner face, while continuing to ensure the game-changing forgiveness expected from a PING driver. Each model is designed to fit a specific player type, with each head profile engineered to provide launch conditions to best match their swing. The overall system weight is lighter by 10 grams and the standard shaft length is ¼" longer than previous models to help golfers swing faster for higher-launching, longer drives with a pleasing, slightly muted sound.
Three Models
The G440 MAX is the most forgiving model and fits most golfers; available in 9°, 10.5° and 12° lofts with a three-position adjustable back weight. The G440 LST (Low Spin) design appeals to players with faster swing speeds, providing lower spin and more control in 9° and 10.5° lofts with the three-position back weight. Golfers in need of slice-correction technology fit best in the G440 SFT (Straight Flight) option, which features a two-position (Draw and Draw+), adjustable 23-gram back weight. Offered in 9° and 10.5° lofts.
Free-Hosel Technology
Weight removed from a section of the hosel is re-allocated to help push mass lower to create PING’s deepest center of gravity in a driver to date, aligning it closer to the force line for faster ball speed, optimal spin and higher launch for longer and straighter drives.
Hotter, Thinner Face
A lower face height allows us to make the face both thinner and hotter for more ball speed and consistency across the clubface, including the high heel region.
Lighter Overall, Longer Shaft Length
The total system weight is reduced by 10 grams and the standard length of our proprietary ALTA CB Blue shaft is 46" (1/4" longer than the previous model) to help golfers swing faster for more speed while maintaining a tight dispersion pattern. The standard length is 45.50" for the PING Tour 2.0 (Chrome and Black) and stock aftermarket options (Project X Denali Red and Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black).
CarbonFly Wrap Crown
Common to all three models (MAX, LST, SFT), the CarbonFly Wrap crown saves weight, which is re-allocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.
Heavier 3-Position Adjustable Back Weight
A 29-gram back weight in the MAX and LST models ensures forgiveness and can be adjusted into draw, fade or neutral position to influence shot shape and trajectory.
Trajectory Tuning 2.0 Adjustable Hosel
The lightweight, 8-position hosel enables adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.) to further dial in ball flight for the best results.

The G440 Max feels stable and easy to swing. Launch is high and straight, which I like. My only complaint is the head feels a little bulky at address, but that’s just personal preference
I’m a mid-handicapper and this driver has helped me hit more fairways than ever before. Very forgiving on mishits. The store was excellent too—good price, legit gear, and fast shipping. Couldn’t ask for more.
I like the consistency and forgiveness of this driver. However, the sound at impact is a bit louder than I prefer. Performance-wise, it does the job and keeps me in the fairway more often. The shop was fantastic—authentic Ping product, well packaged, and delivered quicker than expected.
The G440 Max is definitely forgiving and helps me keep more drives in play. Distance is solid, but I was hoping for a little more gain compared to my old driver. Still a quality club overall.
I loveee ittt, I just teated this driver and WOW is all I can say. I was blown away by the distance I was able to get on this club! It is so lightweight and perfect for my swing.
